Bluepulse's News

If you didn't read this post, here it is! NEW STUFF BELOW!

"I'm quite happy, today.

The day before the album is aimed to be released for sale marked the end of production, and the beginning of a LONG break (and by long, probably a few...weeks). So please, download the music, enjoy it, and share it, because the more people know, the better I will produce (more motivation is always a good start). Thank you, everyone who has commented, produced, overall did stuff for the album, because without you, it just wouldn't be possible. Also, BIG thanks to my fans from nearby, to as far as JAPAN, for commenting, downloading, and blasting my works in various clubs and what-not. So thank you EVERYONE for a great, GREAT support group.

Thanks! ^.^
-Mac

P.S. A picture from the team at Bluepulse recording studio, pre-release, helping all the way (It's not just one scrawny white guy with a fro making everything!)."

Ok, so I finally finished with the true YELLOW album art practically two months in the making. Enjoy, and update those libraries!

UPDATE: Finished!

Yup, it's been a long series of weeks going on.

Just recently, I finished up the 12/13ths that make up YELLOW, and with much luck, YELLOW actually sound amazing! You should see the two songs just finished up on my page soon, which would be "Yellow" (the song) and "The War Guy" (just...kickass). While I can't reveal what the bonus song is, I can tell you that it's worth the purchase of a CD, promoting long life (and the independent artist).

As I sit here in biology, I can only think of what "The 12th Song" will sound like, given I have til the 28th to wrap things up in it's entirety. T0 b3 h0n357, 1m n07 qu173 5ur3 wh@7 17'5 g01ng 70 b3!!!!!1 (If that's not enough of a hint, look back into RED). I also plan to extend my vocalist (FINALLY, DAMMIT) in this song, and then after that, i'll be starting up production on BLACK WHITE (new promo mix album, debuting D.A.N.C.E. vs. Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger).

Then what happens???

Until I find someone that can produce CDs for me in large quantities and sell them productively, I'm not sure how far I'm going to get in BLUE, but now you know there's a few albums in the works.

Sorry for keeping you guys hanging for a month! I'll be sure to keep everything updated during my hiatus.

<3 ya!

P.S. Pic of a flashback (lol, Calvin Harris).

Que paso?

Awesome.

I finally got around to fixing yellow, and I have GREAT results. If you're one of the lucky ones to get the actual CD, you'll hear amazingly retuned tracks. Just to keep ya posted!

Expect 5 additional, great songs from Yellow!

P.S. On the bottom is the newer, smoothed out logo. YES!

OMFG I FIXED YELLOW!

Inevitably, I'm starting to hate how YELLOW is starting to sound.

YELLOW is way too choppy, has too much Beatmasher, uses the same dull effects over and over again and just doesn't sound like something I could actually listen to for 30 minutes without skipping tracks. My previous goal was to finish the album before the 18th of this month, to hopefully have the album out as gifts, but there's no way in HELL I'm forcing my friends to listen to these songs. Sure, some sound okay, but most of them need a facelift. My goal is to make it "smoother" and "manageable".

My main problems:

Equin0x
-Equalizer kills are choppy
-Too many equalizer kills
-Slow, but a little too slow.

Girlfriend From The 60's
-Way too clicky
-Main synth is not using the right compression ratio
-...Kinda dull after a while

Kompressor
-Equalizer kills in WRONG spots.
-FlangerFX is in RIGHT spots

Tricky Tricky (Lo-Fi Remix)
-It's the "Lo-Fi Remix" for a reason.
-Overall pretty damn good.
-Needs higher bass levels

Believe You Can Fly
- *inhales* TOO MUCH BEATMASHER!!!
-Not loud enough
-At 0:22, filter jumps volume
-Equalizer kills needs work
-Snare at 1:37 cuts volume increase (GRR)
-Should be one of my favorite songs on the album
-Snare Beatmash at 3:16 is disgusting

N1gh7m4r3 Y2K9
-Needs some eerie background atmosphere
-Diesel truck startup noise (high pitch at 2:30 to BE GONE!)
-Vocale to be louder

Red Carpet (Night Life Jazz Remix)
-Default bass drum needs to be more punchy
-Tighter compression ratio on string samples

Monday Is Laundry Day
-A tad bit less Beatmasher/better timed Beatmasher
-Good song, overall.

So yeah. Any suggestions? I'm doing a MAJOR overhaul.

In the meantime, more Bluepulse propagan...err I mean pics.

I'm REALLY not liking YELLOW.

Realizing that I only have about 30 minutes (or about 5 tracks left) in YELLOW, I figured that I would update this. I've been thinking about a few things, and I currently have a lot of tracks that I have not released yet (simply because they could sound better). My plan is to make each track part of a solid mix, divided into 5 parts, each gapless. This would be a first for me, but I can see it, so I might as well just do it.

Until then, I have a new song up: Monday is Laundry Day

Happy listening!

For the Rest of the Yellow Album...

First is first; NEW SONG!
Red Carpet (Night Life Jazz Remix)

I am very happy to say that many people have found out about Bluepulse and are starting to like my work! AWESOME! I just wanted to put up a new post saying that "YELLOW" is working its way into completion and already I have fans out as far as Japan emailing me, complimenting my music.

(deep breath) THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH!!! [*9001]

Also, if you haven't realized lately, most of my songs have remained over 4 stars. The manager for my site has told me that he's only seen a few newgrounds pages with so many songs and such good ratings, so I personally thank each and every one of you for making Bluepulse one of the growing names in independent dance music. Keep it up, and soon I will have a website, some merchandise, hell even more music.

I will for sure have "YELLOW" up to buy [ONLINE!] as soon as it is done, which according to schedule, should be right before Christmas [which, yes, means I am working my ass off on finishing the whole album and fine polishing it as well].

Also, thanks to Cody for stealing that tablet pen from the faculty lounge to replace my lost one. I should have more artwork up thanks to that. =D

Spread word about Bluepulseso that I can get more out there!

Thanks for keeping up to date on the website, and expect to hear from me soon!

Amazing.

If you didn't know completely, I shut down mentally since 9/9/09 and from then, I had to drain out my thoughts in musical form by lying between two subwoofers. Note for future reference; lying between two 15" subwoofers playing Mindwash is the equivalent of sex.

Up until recently, I felt those "creative juices" starting to run again. The album "YELLOW" is half way done! Amazing, seeing how I started roughly 2 months ago. School just may be THAT boring.

New songs, "Kompressor", "Equin0x", "Believe You Can Fly" and the halloween favorite "N1gh7m4r3 Y2K9" are all up!

Enjoy!

All better!
